Pillar 02

Education

Two things every kid deserves: a book and a math problem.

Why education

Where a marginal dollar can move outcomes.

Two things separate a child who flourishes from one who doesn't: the books in the home and the math at the desk. Both can be supplied — and both are systematically under-supplied to the students who would benefit most.

The U.S. spends a lot on K-12 education. The marginal dollar at the program level — the after-school tutor, the STEM kit, the field trip to a research lab — is where we believe a dollar can do the most.
